They are both relaxing but Unity gives peace while Lullaby releases more stress. Much to my surprise they are but diifferent in many ways. I recommend each to fragile stressed out individuals I was researching Liquid Mind CDs after visiting Dimple Records because they had Vol.2 and Vol.5. I ordered Unity as well as Lullaby because I thought they would be similar.
There may be people who cannot drive while listening but for me it works. For me this is the perfect remedy for a bad day at work, pop it into the player on the way home. I first heard a cut from this album at an online radio station and immediately went to Amazon to add it to my favorites list, from which I do my shopping when there is money to spend on music. I was pleasantly surprized when I heard the rest of the tracks and began thinking of purchasing another cd.
You'll remember that while listening to this CD. Remember when you were a child and your mother tucked you into bed. This is the one to listen to if you want to sleep deeply, but also to feel inner warmth and comfort after a long day and just before you drift off. A teddy bear, bedtime story, and warm glass of milk all in one.
I have purchased Balance, Sleep and Spirit. I cannot believe what Liquid Mind has done to calm my emotions. Thank You Chuck for such beautiful music, that soothes the Mind, Body and Soul. Now I'm ready for the other 6 cd's. I live with constant stress and anxiety on a daily basis, and it has worked wonders. I feel like I'm in another world the minute I put my headphones on.
This CD is heavy on the use of synthesizers, but it is all done tastefully. This creates a solid sense of forward movement, but without a rapid tempo. Often when other artists do this ultra slow music, the chord progressions don't create this same sense of movement and the harmonic changes are very predictable. This is an excellent CD for meditation, massage therapy or relaxing. Highly recommended. At the same time, the music is not boring. The tempo of the pieces are slow and all of them as a whole are gentle. The chord progressions are interesting and their are lots of unexpected chord substitutions.
